Maximise Production Performance and Play a Key Role in the Future of a Major UK Offshore Asset!

Our Client has a requirement for a Production & Subsurface Lead, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Barrow-in-Furness / Morecambe Asset.

Role Purpose:

  • Accountable for generating production forecasts and monitoring performance to maximise economic hydrocarbon production from the Morecambe asset through to end of field life.
  • Provide production engineering expertise to optimise asset performance and support business objectives.
  • Manage subsurface and reserves reporting activities to support safe and effective operations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across production, subsurface and information management activities.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the Production Management Standard for the business.
  • Generate and regularly update life-of-field production forecasts for the Morecambe asset.
  • Monitor production performance against forecasts, providing analysis, recommendations and reporting to the Asset Leadership Team.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly production reviews to ensure wells and facilities are optimised.
  • Analyse production loss events and ensure robust root cause investigations and learnings are captured.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, risks and improvement opportunities to maximise asset performance.
  • Ensure production threats are recognised and effectively mitigated.
  • Manage production regulatory consents and maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the hydrocarbon value chain through accurate production and emissions allocation.
  • Lead reserves and resources reporting processes.
  • Provide subsurface support to decommissioning activities, including well Plug & Abandonment planning.
  • Manage NSTA Information and Samples Coordinator (ISC) requirements and ensure all regulatory obligations are met.
  • Act as a Lead Investigator using Kelvin TopSet investigation techniques as required.
  • Undertake any other associated duties as reasonably required.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified, ideally in a Production Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Subsurface or related discipline.
  • Strong Production Engineering/Petroleum Engineering skillset.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and validate production forecasts.
  • Experience of production optimisation and performance monitoring within the oil and gas sector.
  • Knowledge of hydrocarbon accounting processes and production allocation.
  • Experience of reserves and resources reporting.
  • Understanding of UK regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary asset teams.
  • Knowledge of investigation methodologies, including Kelvin TopSet, would be advantageous.
